Hello hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode of… MY BLOG! Today, I decided to travel over to the wonderfully creepy place of… knockturn alley! Yes, you heard me right. So, put on your seatbelts, and get ready to travel!
The alleyway gave a chill as I walked down and towards the shop that I was headed to. Shyverwretch's Venoms and Poisons, it was called. Yes, I had been told years ago never to go in there by my uncle, but I was looking for some fun.
I approached the small black building and entered inside. Unlike other places I’d been, there was no cheerful dinging of a bell or a warm feeling that washed over me. Instead, as I walked inside, I felt a cold shudder of dread. The interior was black and grey, and a clump of smoke immediately blew into my face.
After the smoke cleared, I could see better the ingredients and poisons that lined the store walls. Each category of items was held up by a shelf that was just a tad bit darker than the wall color in that In one corner, there were also sorts of bugs and other organisms. As I inspected closer, I saw that there were caterpillars, moths, and even a flying seahorse. It was the one cute thing on that shelf.
I walked away from all of the bugs to look at the poisons and venoms. Now this was more up my alley. Poison has always interested me. I wished that I could buy some, but I knew that it wasn’t possible. Hogwarts would never let me sneak some in.
I reluctantly dragged myself away from the appealing array of poisons to look at the fairy wings. It looked like the owner of the store had been creative, because the wall behind the fairy wings was painted like a mural. It looked like a garden full of fairies and butterflies, and each of them had the same color wings as the array of wings on the shelf. This reminded me of the last thing in the shop, so I walked over to where the things like the jar of flobberworm slime were. This whole shelf was filled with things that you could only get from animals. I fingered one of the bottles, putting it right back down when I saw what it was.
It was time to leave, and I wasn't sad about it. Well… I was sad that I couldn’t buy any poison, but I wasn’t sad that I was leaving this creepy store. Just as I was leaving, the owner walked in.
“Buying anything today, dear?”
I quickly shook my head. “Not today, ma’am!”
I took that opportunity to run out of the store, leaving as quick as I could.
