In part one of a three part blog series, I'm going to tell you about my recent trip to Texas. Each blog will be about my travels through the three states I drove through: Tennessee, Arkansas and finally, Texas. First up, we have
To drive through the entire state of Tennessee, it takes eight hours, which means it feels like an enternity if you are like me and can't sit still very long. Plus, a bunch of the state is just grassy areas and some hills, but we went through a few cities that absolutely amazed me. I won't mention them in the order of how we travelled through the cities though, as I can't remember the order if I'm being 100% honest with you guys.
Nashville was a BEAUTIFUL city to go through! The lights, the sounds, the buildings and the overall wonderfulness of the place made me fall in love with it! Had we not been trying to get to Texas quickly, I would have loved to stop and explore the city some more. I've always heard the Ryman and the Grand Ole Opry are must see places while in Nashville, so you can bet all your Galleons that I'll be going back at some point to explore the city of Nashville!
Memphis was another city we drove through, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did Nashville. Memphis has some sketchy areas about it, and I was kinda worried, but we made it through okay and survived! On the way back, we saw a better part of Memphis that was GORGEOUS. The gigantic buildings in Downtown Memphis towered overhead and left me awestruck. Maybe I'll go back to downtown Memphis one day, but DEFINITELY will I not go back to the sketchy area.
I saw many interesting things during my ride through the state. I saw a baseball stadium for a minor league team and REALLY wanted to stop and watch a game there, but unfortunately I couldn't. There was this HUGE pyramid building we passed and WOAH was it cool looking! It sat right next to the Mississippi River and amazed me completely! It was a sporting goods store, but man was it surprising to see something like that!
It was at this point we crossed over into Arkansas.
Awe, were you wanting to hear more? Well, tune in next time when I tell all about what I saw as I travelled through Arkansas! Until next time my readers!
