Overview
The Fire-Making Spell, also known as the Fire-Making Charm (Incendio) was a charm that produced a jet of flames that could be used to set anything alight.
History
Miranda Goshawk's The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1 contained this spell. In order to deal with the Devil's Snare and other harmful plants, this spell was also taught to students in Charms (and revised in the second year) and Herbology during their first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was then reviewed for students taking their O.W.L. exams in the fifth year.
The song "A Cauldron Full of Hot, Strong Love" by Celestina Warbeck had a reference to this spell.
